5 Gal stockpot with ball valve (cosmetic damage)

I love this pot. It went together with ease. The hardest part was finding my husbands tools! This is going to work great to hold drinking water in my new She Shed! No leaks. Used the white pipe tape as another reviewer did. Great price too. Cosmetic damage minimal.

    Good pot for the money

I’m pretty happy with this pot. It arrived with two small dents which did not lessen the usefulness of the pot. Considering it comes with a ball valve and a pre-drilled hole, it’s a good value. I used it for making maple syrup, but plan to use it for brewing. Compared to my 10-gallon Concord pot, the stainless steel used for this pot is thin but doesn’t lessen the functionality.

5 Gallon Stainless Pot w/ Ball Valve

Posted by Tony on 18th Apr 2019

This product worked great for me, and was quite affordable. I used it to dribble water into a boiling pan of maple sap, while making syrup. It noticeable reduced my boil time as the boil was in interrupted while adding large amounts of cold sap at one time. BUT, as is reflected in the price, this is probably the thinnest, flimsiest stock pot I've ever touched. Slightly more rigid than a couple pieces of aluminum foil. It will undoubtedly dent and crease. Buy this for functionality, not durability, and I think you will be pleased.

Pretty happy with this product, sure there were some dental but overall, the little damage does not detract from the effectiveness or the great value of these items, even more so when you add the valves.
