    If I had known

You get what you pay for. Because the bottom is thin, when the pot is full it rocks on the stove when heating up. The O-rings leaked so I replaced them with high temp washers that worked great. I called the company, told them the O-rings leaked so they sent 2 flat washers. I would have needed 4 if I hadn't already fixed it myself, disappointing. If I had known, I would have purchased the 8 Gallon Stainless Steel Kettle with Tri-Clad Bottom & Welded Ports for Valve & Thermometer for $93.25. I would have been able to use the pot when I wanted to instead of having to trouble shoot it for 2 days. Knowing what I know today, I would not recommend this pot but would recommend the Tri-Clad bottom & welded ported pot for a little more and not have the problems I had to deal with.

    Great

Everything arrived great, the kettle was as described, and considerable lower cost than elsewhere. I would definitely recommend, as well as continue using BI.

    As advertised

Kettle arrived as advertised and works great, I used it for a 5 gallon BIAB (mashed in separate MLT) and it worked perfectly. Only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars is that it took us an hour or longer to tighten the thermometer just right so it wouldn't leak. The o-rings provided don't seem perfect... but eventually worked. The spigot was totally fine though. Overall happy with my purchase!

    Great kettle for the money

My first impression of the pot when I opened the box was that the metal was thicker than I'd expected. Overall it's a higher quality pot than I thought I'd ever find for the price. It took me a few tries to figure out the weldless fittings to get them to stop leaking, some instructions would have been helpful but I finally figured it out. I'd definitely suggest test fitting everything with water before you try to brew with it.

The valve and thermometer are both good quality as well. I calibrated the thermometer using boiling water and then compared it to my other thermometers and it's pretty close. Transfers using the ball valve went very easily and cleanup was easy, I just disassembled everything until next brew day.

Overall a great value for less than $70, I definitely recommend this BK for entry into AG brewing.

    Great for price

I used this pot the first day I got it and I was very happy with it! The only complaint I had would have been a set of instructions. It would be helpful to know the order the gaskets should be placed but other than that, it's great!

    Great Deal

You can't find a stainless steel brew kettle for less. I used this for my first batch of the winter and it works great. No complaints. Warning though, it does come unassembled so you will need some tools to install the thermometer and valve. I didn't have a wrench that was large enough so I had to borrow one from a friend.
